Flying Officer George Edward Kosh was born in 1922 in Folkestone, Kent. Kosh was commissioned in 1943 and flew Hawker Tempests with No. 3 Squadron.
While engaged in anti-V1 operations on 1 July 1944 Kosh was killed in action. Kosh's Tempest JF-K (JN765) crashed at 05.45 into farmland at House Field, Winchelsea Marsh, Icklesham in Sussex.
