"I have several photos of Tempest Mk. IIs taken by my late father whilst stationed at Gutersloh with No. 16 Squadron in approx' 1948. Dad told me that the squadron dog 'Brutus' unfortunately ran through a turning propeller arc of a taxying aircraft and so met an untimely end.
